It was a sensational day at the plate for Manolo García as he led the charge to a 13-3 win over the Truckers.
The Miami first baseman was pure misery for the South Hadley pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
The manager for the Truckers told BNN reporters after the game, "García put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
M. García singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off J. Jackson in the 9th.

Hyun-tae Im is respected by most South Hadley Truckers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 20-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .526 average (10-19) with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
In his season totals, Im has 2 home runs, .370 BA, .424 OBP, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has played in 15 games.

 | Saturday, April 15th, 2034: Zero Hits for Sosa, South Hadley Halts Hit Streak
Bernardo Sosa's 25-game hitting streak was snapped today at Jets Ballpark. The 25-year-old Jets right fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game with the South Hadley Truckers, but Modesto came out the winner, topping them 8-0.
One of his teammates told BNN, "The streak was no big deal to Bernardo. He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames. That's the bottom line."
Sosa's current batting average stands at .283 and he has chalked up 1 home run and 8 RBIs.
