| Breaking News | | Tuesday, September 27th, 2033: Dodgers Sutton Down and Out for Year The doctors have spoken and Jeffrey Sutton of the Los Angeles Dodgers didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Sutton sustained his season-ending injury during the Santa Fe Rough Riders game yesterday at Dodger Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Los Angeles medical staff reported Sutton had dead arm syndrome and would be absent from the lineup for at least 2-3 weeks.
So far this season Sutton is 7-and-5 with 30 saves and a 2.22 ERA. He has given up 64 hits in 65 innings with 68 strikeouts. | | Sunday, September 25th, 2033: Los Angeles's Schultz Will Miss Season Guy Schultz will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Los Angeles first baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Schultz was injured while running the bases in the Dodgers-Padres clash at Dodger Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a torn thigh muscle and would be out a minimum of 4 weeks.
This year Schultz is batting .317 with 19 home runs. | | Tuesday, September 20th, 2033: Dodgers Jones Will Miss Season Will Jones has to call it a season. The Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Milwaukee Brewers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Jones was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn tricep muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 8 months.
In the 2033 season Jones has recorded a 4-7 mark. In 13 starts he has fanned 66 batters in 77 innings with a 4.44 ERA. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Will Jones | torn tricep muscle | 6 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 79-83, .488 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 16.0 GB | | Record at home | 45-36, .556 PCT | | Record on the road | 34-47, .420 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 10-7, .588 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 29-26, .527 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 19-21, .475 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 60-62, .492 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in April | 10-15, .400 PCT | | Record in May | 14-15, .483 PCT | | Record in June | 13-14, .481 PCT | | Record in July | 12-13, .480 PCT | | Record in August | 16-11, .593 PCT | | Record in September | 13-14, .481 PCT | | Record in October | 1-1, .500 PCT |
