| Breaking News | | Saturday, October 29th, 2033: Milwaukee Brewers Take World Series The 2033 United Kingdom Baseball League season came to a close today at Miller Park, where the Milwaukee Brewers whipped the Baltimore Orioles 1-0 and won their 3rd World Series in history.
Milwaukee got there by compiling a 104-58 mark during regular season play and claiming the first spot in the National Central standings.
The Brewers won the series 4-2 in games. | | Saturday, October 8th, 2033: Milwaukee Reliever Out Milwaukee fans will be disappointed to learn that Mauro García developed back spasms while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Milwaukee Brewers manager that García was expected to miss 1-2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the reliever could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
During this season García has delivered 2 saves. In 46 relief appearances, he has 83 strikeouts in 82 innings with a 2.30 ERA and 2 wins and 3 losses. | | Friday, October 7th, 2033: Romero Smacks 5 Hits for Brewers On top of the Milwaukee hit parade today was Júlio Romero. He went to the plate 6 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Brewers to a 10-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves. He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-6 performance.
The sweet swinging catcher told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
The skipper of the Braves wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
J. Romero singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off N. Rew in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
Romero is hitting .320 this season with 40 home runs, 124 RBIs and 114 runs scored. He has 190 hits in 594 at-bats. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 104-58, .642 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 56-25, .691 PCT | | Record on the road | 48-33, .593 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 8-2, .800 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 27-18, .600 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 26-15, .634 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 78-43, .645 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 8-2, .800 PCT | | Record in April | 15-10, .600 PCT | | Record in May | 15-13, .536 PCT | | Record in June | 17-9, .654 PCT | | Record in July | 13-12, .520 PCT | | Record in August | 22-6, .786 PCT | | Record in September | 20-8, .714 PCT | | Record in October | 2-0, 1.000 PCT |
