| Breaking News | | Sunday, May 7th, 2034: Jefferson Belts 3 HR Against Anaheim Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often.
When it does it is something special to celebrate.
And Bob Jefferson of Albuquerque can celebrate it.
He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Butterball Field against the Anaheim Hustlers.
In all he was 3-4 as the Turkeys toppled Anaheim 12-1, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 3 times.
Jefferson told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."
His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air."
B. Jefferson hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off M. McPherson in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off M. McPherson in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
So far this year in 29 games Jefferson is hitting .286 with 5 home runs, 16 RBIs and 18 runs scored. | | Tuesday, May 2nd, 2034: Turkeys Guzmán Strong-Arms Diamond Hawks Pedro Guzmán had the Colorado Springs Diamond Hawks dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 8-0 shutout performance for the Albuquerque Turkeys.
